Most items purchased at Redwood Trading Post can be returned within 30 days of purchase as long as the following criteria are met:
Items must be accompanied with the original store receipt or invoice
Items must be in original packaging with all labels and tags attached
Items must be in new and unused condition
Refunds for qualifying returns will be issued to the original form of payment (eg cash for cash, credit for credit). Payments made with check must wait one week before a refund is given to ensure the check clears.
Refunds for items returned by mail will be processed within 30 days of our receipt of the returned item(s). Please note that refunds for gift returns will be issued to the original purchaser.
If the return is past 30 days or if the store receipt is missing, we will issue a store credit, but no refund can be given. In the absence of a receipt, the amount of credit will be for the lowest price the item has been sold in the previous 12 months.
There are certain items that cannot be returned:
Items marked as “close-out”
Used or surplus items
Climbing equipment (eg carabiners or rope)
How to return by mail:
1: Box the item securely and include all original packaging and tags.
2: Also include in box the store receipt or invoice along with your name, address, phone number, and email. Please also briefly describe the reason for your return (defective, wrong size, etc).
3: Mail the package back to our store:

We recommend using a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance. Redwood Trading Post is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
Note: Items mailed to us that do not meet the return criteria listed above will be returned to sender.
